ADC mourns Amaechi’s mother

The African Democratic Congress has expressed condolences to its vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, following the death of his mother, Mary Amaechi.
The condolence message was conveyed in a statement by the party’s national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, on Thursday.
The party also sympathised with the Amaechi family, describing the deceased as a devoted matriarch whose love, guidance and enduring values positively shaped her family’s generations.
“A mother’s influence extends far beyond the walls of her home through the values she instils, sacrifices she makes, and countless lives she leaves better than she found them,” they said.
The party said that although the pain of losing a mother was immeasurable, it believed the family would draw strength from her exemplary life and cherished memories.
“May the cherished memories of Mrs Mary Amaechi, alongside the prayers of millions of Nigerians, bring comfort, strength and peace to her family during mourning,” the statement said.
The party, on behalf of its national chairman, David Mark, the National Working Committee and members nationwide, prayed for the peaceful repose of Mrs Amaechi’s soul.
