Adeleke thanks supporters, pays tributes to Osun election violence victims
Governor Ademola Adeleke has thanked the Accord Party and supporters for his re-election in Saturday’s governorship poll in Osun.
Mr Adeleke, who was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission after securing 511,067 votes across the 30 local councils, also paid tribute to victims who lost their lives during the campaign.
“My dear people of Osun State, this is to sincerely thank you for your love and support that gave our party the victory in last Saturday’s election,” said Mr Adeleke on Friday. “I thank the workers, market women and men, the youths, religious leaders and all citizens for believing in me and rewarding our good work with your votes.”
He added, “Thanks to the leaders and members of our party, Accord. I honour the memories of all those who lost their lives during the election campaign. May God comfort their families.”
