Ahmad assumes office as commandant of Zaria army depot

Usman Ahmad on Tuesday assumed duty as the new Commandant of the Nigerian Army Depot, Zaria, succeeding Ahmadu-Bello Mohammed at the premier military training institution.

Before his appointment as commandant Depot NA Zaria, Mr Ahmad served as commander, 27 Task Force Brigade, Buni Gari, Yobe.

Mr Ahmad pledged to build upon established training achievements by producing disciplined, battle-ready soldiers capable of meeting contemporary security challenges, while ensuring the Nigerian Army Depot remained a centre of excellence in military instruction.

In his farewell address, Mr Mohammed thanked commander, 27 Task Force Brigade, Buni Gari, Yobe for the opportunity to contribute toward training soldiers and advancing professional military standards throughout his tenure.
