AIG orders probe of burnt Mopol 13 office complex in Makurdi

The assistant inspector-general (AIG) of police, zone 4, Makurdi, Zacharia Achinyan, has ordered a probe of the burnt 13 Police Mobile Force (PMF) building in Makurdi.
Mr Achinyan gave the order on Monday during an on-the-spot assessment visit to the burnt 13 Police Mobile Force (PMF) in Makurdi.
The Mobile Police 13 (Mopol 13) Unit office complex of the Nigeria Police Force in Makurdi was razed on Sunday morning.
Ayo Oluwaseun, zonal public relations officer, said in a statement in Makurdi that the AIG was received on arrival by the Benue commissioner of police, alongside the commanding officer of the 13 Police Mobile Force, Makurdi.
The AIG expressed concern over the incident and directed the commissioner of police to immediately commence a diligent and thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire outbreak.
He reassured members of the public that the situation has been brought under control and urged them to remain calm and continue with their lawful activities, as adequate security measures are in place.
