Aiyedatiwa will continue to prioritise welfare of women: Aide

The Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Women Affairs, Seun Osamaye, says the state government will continue to prioritise the welfare of women in the state.
Ms Osamaye said this on Saturday in Akure while addressing journalists about Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s plans for women’s development in the state.
Ms Osamaye said the development of women would lead to building the nation, and no woman would be left behind in governance in the state.
She also highlighted the 10-point agenda of the government, which includes the empowerment of rural and elderly women, access to resources and support for market women, and skill-up initiatives for women.
According to her, others include opportunities and inclusion for women with disabilities, government intervention for women in agriculture, TECH-A-Girl and PAD A Girl Child Initiative, and Back 2 School Initiative for female adults.
She also mentioned capacity building for women in politics, mentorship programmes for female students and young women in politics, and health-is-wealth schemes for women.
“We have a listening governor; he is ready to support the development of women anytime, any day and has a plan to ensure that no woman is left behind in governance,” she said.
The special adviser to the governor encouraged women to participate in politics and praised Mr Aiyedatiwa’s commitment towards women’s empowerment.
Ms Osamaye urged women to support the governor and utilise government services, highlighting improvements in healthcare.
