Akin Osuntokun replaces Doyin Okupe as new Labour Party campaign DG

Political advisor to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Akin Osuntokun, has been named the new director-general of the Labour Party’s Obi/Baba-Ahmed Presidential Campaign Council.
Mr Osuntokun’s appointment comes after the resignation of Doyin Okupe, recently convicted of laundering federal funds during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
Before his appointment, Mr Osuntokun had served as the South-West zonal coordinator of the campaign.
He’s a former managing director of the state-run News Agency of Nigeria, and also served as director in the 2011 presidential campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
