Akwa Ibom: Essien Udim residents endorse Tinubu’s re-election bid

Some residents of Essien Udim LGA, Akwa Ibom, have expressed their resolve to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The residents expressed this resolve at a mobilisation rally organised by the Renewed Hope Initiative in Afaha Ikot Ebak, Essien Udim, on Monday.
The residents also pledged to support the re-election of Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno, respectively.
The event also featured the inauguration of RHI chapter executives, ward structures, and the advisory council.
Speaking at the event, Uwem Okoko, the president-general of RHI in Akwa Ibom, said the initiative would deepen grassroots support for the All Progressives Congress in the state.
He urged residents to work with the new structures to strengthen the party and prepare the ground for the re-election of Messrs Tinubu, Akpabio and Eno.
“Today will remain historic, we have spoken as a people, clearly reaffirming our unity and determination to build a stronger state,” he said.
Ntiedo Usoro, the RHI coordinator for Essien Udim LGA, thanked the leadership for finding him worthy to lead the initiative in the area.
Mr Usoro, also the chairman of Essien Udim local council, expressed his commitment to working with other leaders to ensure APC’s victory in the elections.
