AMAC chairman dissolves cabinet, orders immediate handover of assets

The Executive Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Maikalangu, has approved the immediate dissolution of the council’s executive cabinet and all political appointments.
This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the chairman’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs, Kingsley Madaki.
Mr Madaki said the dissolution took immediate effect and affected the council secretary, all supervisory councillors, special advisers, senior special assistants, and personal assistants.
He said Mr Maikalangu expressed appreciation to the outgoing cabinet members and aides for their dedication, hard work, and service to the development of the council.
According to him, the chairman commended them for their contributions to the achievements recorded by the administration and wished them success in their future endeavours.
Mr Madaki also directed all affected officials to hand over council property and official documents in their possession to the head of administration or the most senior career officer in their respective departments without delay.
