Jeff Bezos, founder of the world’s largest e-commerce company, Amazon, earns a staggering $3.5 million every hour, according to research by Finbold.com, a United Kingdom-based company.
With a net worth of $189.8 billion, the 60-year-old is currently the third richest person in the world behind the founder and CEO of luxury goods company LVMH, Bernard Arnault, with $224.7 billion net worth and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, who has a net worth of $206 billion.
Mr Bezos owns 11.5 per cent ownership in Amazon, which recorded a gross profit of $270 billion within a twelve-month business year that ended in September 2023, stakes in the Washington Post, an American newspaper and sole owner of spaceflight services company, Blue Origin.
The businesses mentioned above have contributed massively to Mr Bezos’ net worth, and Finbold.com used the gross profit of the businessman’s income to determine the amount he earns per second, per minute, hour, day and week.
Results of the research conducted by Finbold.com showed that Mr Bezos currently earns $985 per second, $59,100 per minute, $3,546,000 per hour, $85,104,000 per day, and $595,728,000 per week.
The massive numbers have enabled Mr Bezos to maintain his status as one of the world’s wealthiest and most influential people for the past two decades.
