The Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyeka Ibezim, on Saturday described the council poll as fantastic and commendable.

Mr Ibezim stated this after voting at the polling unit 016 at Community Primary school Mbaukwu, Awka South Local Government Area of the state.

He expressed confidence that the outcome of the poll would speak volumes of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration developmental projects.

He stated that the residents were already aware of the governor’s achievements within two years in office and would reciprocate accordingly at the poll.

Mr Ibezim said that All Progressives Grand Alliance was on the lips of every Anambra State resident and charged voters to ensure their votes counted in the council poll.

APGA is the leading across polling units having also fielded candidates for the 21 council areas and 326 electoral awards unlike other political parties.

No other political party agent was seen within the voting centre.

The council poll results collation is ongoing across the polling units of the state wards and results will be announced at the ANSIEC headquarters after collation.
