Anambra: Orutugu praises officers for effective policing during Xmas, New Year

The police commissioner in Anambra, Ikioye Orutugu, has commended officers, other security agencies, and residents for their collaboration in ensuring a peaceful yuletide.
Mr Orutugu stated this in a statement on Monday.
“I want to commend the police operatives, other security agencies, and Anambra residents for their dedication, courage, and professionalism during the yuletide security operations across the state,” he said.
Mr Orutugu noted that the synergy among the police command, sister security agencies, and other security stakeholders was instrumental to the peaceful celebration witnessed during the festive season.
He also thanked residents for their cooperation, vigilance, and support, noting that effective community partnership remains central to successful policing.
According to him, Anambra residents need to deepen their cooperation with security agencies by providing timely information.
He reassured the public of the command’s commitment to proactive policing and to protecting lives and property.
“The Anambra police command remains steadfast in its resolve to sustain strategies that will continue to enhance public safety and security across the state,” he said.
