Anambra women advised to raise healthy families

Onyeka Ifekandu, a philanthropist, has urged women to be a tool in building healthy families through embracing peaceful coexistence and engaging in economic development.
Ifekandu said this during an empowerment programme organised by women of Aboatulu kindred in Enugwu-Ukwu Community, Njikoka LGA of Anambra.
On Thursday, Mr Ifekandu, the CEO of Ezendigbo Welfare Foundation, commended the women for organising themselves in such a manner and appealed to them to seek peaceful coexistence amongst the people to achieve economic and social growth in the community.
Ifekandu empowered over 10 women with cash to support their businesses and assured them he would always support their developmental Projects in the town.
Mr Ifekandu prides its philanthropic activities on promoting educational excellence for indigent students and assisting graduates of the Igbo apprenticeship schemes, amongst others.
He said poor education funding, which has led to a slide in educational excellence, motivated him to venture into education support.
“I wish to ask anyone whose child is interested in education but lacks financial assistance to go to my foundation to register.
“I will do my best to ensure that readable youths in our community get quality basic education. I recognise the importance of education, so I want to help,” said Mr Ifekandu.
Mr Ifekandu also assured indigent students, widows and unemployed youths from the community a better year with his diverse philanthropic programmes.
