The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the November 6 Anambra elections, Valentine Ozigbo, says he’ll unify the Igbo when elected governor.

“I am not running for governorship for the people of Anambra alone but for the Igbos because there is a lot that we can’t do alone unless we do it together,” Mr Ozigbo said.

A strong contender, he said, “one of the things I stand for is unification of Igbo nations.”

Mr Ozigbo was a guest at an event organised by Anambra Igbos residing in Asaba.

He said it was time for the five states in the South-East to work together and negotiate for development that we cannot do separately at the federal level.

He said the current insecurity in the state could be resolved through negotiations and partnership with relevant stakeholders.

The governorship candidate said when elected he would provide qualitative education, good health care and attractive jobs for the youth and women.
