Three governors of the All Progressives Congress -Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo and Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti- visited Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike on Friday.

This comes amid crisis rocking Peoples Democratic Party following the fallout from the party’s presidential primary in May.

Photos of the governors’ visit went viral on social media on Friday with many suggesting that the visit was to woo Mr Wike to support the party in the forthcoming presidential election.

Trouble has been brewing in the opposition party since the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar sidestepped Mr Wike who who recommended by a select committee to tap Delta governor Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.

Mr Wike, a talksome promoter of the PDP has maintained studied silence, keeping away from party matters.

Recently, he has been holding talks with opposition figures such as Ebonyi governor Dave Umahi, Kano politician, Rabiu Kwakwanso and Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
