APC registered 400,000 members in Gombe: Gov Yahaya

Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State on Tuesday said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has registered 400,000 members in the state.
Mr Yahaya disclosed this while speaking during the party’s state congress held at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe.
He said, “Following the commencement of the e-registration of membership and revalidation, the state has so far registered 400,000 members.
“With the number registered in the state, Gombe State is placed 10th in Nigeria in terms of APC membership strength.”
The governor commended the party faithful and officials for driving membership increases in the state.
He urged the members to remain united and loyal to the party’s ideals to secure victory in 2027.
Mr Yahaya expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for giving effective and efficient leadership to Nigeria.
He called on the party stakeholders to push for Mr Tinubu’s return in 2027 and for all other seats in Gombe State.
Earlier, Danjuma Dabo, the chairman of the Gombe State APC Congress Committee, commended Mr Yahaya for the peaceful conduct of the congress across the state.
During the congress, Mr Dabo said the process began with screening, after which the officials were elected by consensus.
Mr Dabo affirmed the new officials elected by consensus and announced that the new APC state officials numbered 36.
Announcing the names, Mr Dabo said Mr Mohammed Ndus emerged as the new state APC chairman, Baba Abuja as the deputy chairman, and Moses Kyari was re-elected as publicity secretary.
Mr Ndus, in his speech on behalf of the new officials, thanked Mr Yahaya and pledged their loyalty to the party.
