APC says 70,000 members registered in Yobe

The All Progressives Congress says it has documented over 70,000 members across the 17 LGAs in Yobe through its e-membership registration.
Muhammadu Gadaka, the state APC chairman, disclosed this on the sidelines of the party’s stakeholders meeting in Damaturu on Wednesday.
He said the figures, which were sourced from the party’s e-registration portal, indicated that only one state in the North-East was ahead of Yobe in membership strength.
Mr Gadaka, however, said the party would not rest on its oars until more members participated in the ongoing registration.
“The essence of the meeting is to discuss with various local officials of the party on how to mobilise more members for this exercise,” he said.
The party chairman stressed the importance of unity, loyalty, and commitment among APC members, describing them as essential pillars for strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Mr Gadaka reiterated the party’s commitment to justice, equity, fairness, and inclusive governance, assuring that the APC would continue to carry members along in all its programmes and initiatives.
