APGA youths back Ezeokenwa as national chairman

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Youth Assembly on Tuesday endorsed Sly Ezeokenwa for the office of national chairman of the party.
The endorsement is contained in a statement issued in Abuja by the national leader of the group, Eze-Onyebuchi Chukwu.
The youths warned against electing ‘’desperate politicians into the sensitive office of the national chairman of the party.”
“APGA has never been a youth party until Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo came on board and found trust in the capacity of the youths.
“For the first time in the history of Nigerian politics, someone below 40 years was trusted enough to lead a top-five national political party as its national chairman.
“This, of course, is an answered prayer to the youths of Nigeria who have over the years been marginalised in the leadership of any kind in the country,” said the group.
He said it would not augur well for youths and the party to throw away the opportunity to be led by a visionary youth.
“So, it is Sly Ezeokenwa we know; Edozie Njoku (another contestant) we don’t know. Sly Ezeokenwa has constantly reiterated his resolve to turn APGA into a youth-oriented political party,” the group added.
