Arewa group plans political, business solutions to develop northern states

Arewa 100% Focus, a subsidiary of Arewa Consultative Forum, has proposed some value-added programmes and projects for the development of northern states, including Abuja.
The group described the programmes as the lasting political and business solutions to address pressing issues and challenges in Northern states.
Its national president, Abubakar Fakai, said this in Abuja on Monday at the group’s maiden meeting to propose programmes and projects for 2026.
Mr Fakai said the group planned to organise programmes and projects such as the Arewa Unity and Development Summit, the Northern Nigeria Youth Political Solution Summit, and the Northern Nigeria Business Development Summit.
“We will bring a lot of young leaders, people that really matter within the state of Northern Nigeria, completely understanding that we have a lot of burning issues within our region. We understand that if we do not come together, nobody is going to do it for us,” Mr Fakai said.
According to him, ACF has succeeded in creating an endowment fund and a number of activities for its 25th anniversary programme, including youth talent development.
“They have created a unity football tournament that gives young people within the Northern Nigeria the opportunity to display their talents,
“I think all these are part of the efforts of the ACF to create employment opportunities for the team. I so much believe that Arewa 100% focus has a lot of initiatives that can help the region,” Mr Fakai explained.
Mr Fakai said that the whole idea of the meeting was to review the group’s activities in 2025 and to consider the proposed activities for 2026.
He said it would also consider other critical issues that may be important and valuable to the region, especially the Northern Nigeria region, which comprises 19 northern states and Abuja.
