Argentine club appoints former Manchester United striker as head coach

Former Manchester United and Manchester City striker, Carlos Tevez, has been appointed head coach of Argentine club Rosario Central.
Tevez is taking up his first managerial job after retiring from football earlier in the month of June.
“Carlos Tévez is the manager. He became the new coach, after signing a contract with the Club for 12 months,” Rosario Central announced Tevez’ appointment in a tweet on Tuesday.
Tevez will lead Argentine Primera Division side, presently ranking 22nd on the league log.
Tevez, 38, started and ended his professional career with Boca Juniors.
In 2005, he moved to Brazilian side Corinthains from where he moved to the English Premier League, playing for West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Tevez also played for Italian side Juventus, Shanghai Shenhua in China and then returned to Boca Juniors, where he retired on June 4, 2022.
During his career, he won three Premier Leagues, two Serie A titles and a Champions League title.
