Arsenal beat Chelsea to reach Carabao Cup final

Arsenal defeated Chelsea 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, in the second leg of the 2026 Carabao Cup, billed for Wembley Stadium on March 22, 2026.
A goal by Kai Hervertz in the last kick of the game in the 96th minute secured the victory for Mikel Arteta’s side, after a goalless first half, to book a spot in the final.
The Gunners thereby won 4-2 on aggregate after their 3-2 victory at Stamford Bridge on January 14.
The Premier League leaders, who are unbeaten in their last nine meetings with Chelsea in all competitions since 2021, have now reached the EFL Cup final for the ninth time with the victory.
Arsenal will now face the winner of the Manchester City and holders Newcastle United, who clash in their second-leg match at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
This is Arsenal’s first Carabao Cup final since 2018.
