Arsenal defeat West Ham to stay atop EPL log with seven points margin

Arsenal defeated West Ham 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Monday in the English Premier League to stay atop the log with seven points margin.
The Gunners continued their chase for the title this season with an impressive performance, coming from behind to win on Monday night.
Arsenal fell one goal behind the visitors in the 27th minute as Benrahman scored from the spot.
Nigerian born striker Bukayo Saka, however, fired in an equaliser for the Gunners in the 53rd minutes, cancelling out Benrahman’s goal.
Five minutes later, Brazilian striker Gabriel Martinelli doubled Arsenal’s lead with a brilliant left foot shot.
The Gunners maintained good control of the game as Eddie Nketiah led Arsenal’s attack in the absence of injured Gabriel Jesus to seal their victory with a brilliant finish in the box.
With 40 points in 15 games, Arsenal are now seven points ahead of Newcastle, who earlier on Monday beat Leicester City to move 2nd place on the EPL log with 33 points in 16 games, displacing City to third position.
City have 32 points in 14 games and could return to second position after winning their pending games.
