Arsenal star Bukayo Saka announces engagement to long-term girlfriend Tolami Benson
Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has announced his engagement to his long-term Nigerian-British girlfriend, Tolami Benson.
The Nigerian-born England international confirmed this in an Instagram post on Friday, which contained multiple pictures of the couple together, including some in which Benson was wearing her engagement ring.
According to the Daily Mail, Saka and his wife-to-be started dating around 2020, and their relationship had been mostly kept under wraps, except for some occasions of Benson watching England matches while wearing Saka’s jersey number.
Benson is originally from Hatfield, Hertfordshire, and studied public relations and media at Birmingham City University.
She worked for several public relations firms before joining Zenith as a senior planning executive in May this year.
The announcement has drawn well-wishes from several current and former Arsenal teammates of Saka, including Gabriel Martinelli, Joe Willock, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Folarin Balogun.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright, Nottingham Forest forward Anthony Elanga, and Arsenal women’s player Beth Mead are among other football figures who have congratulated Saka on his engagement.
