Arsenal on Sunday narrowly defeated Manchester United 3-2 to maintain their lead margin over Manchester City on the English Premier League log.

Grabbing a well deserved three points at Emirates on Sunday, Arsenal’s title chase got a boost as they maintain their lead margin over Manchester City.

England striker Marcus Rashford gave United the lead 17 minutes into the game, capitalising on a defensive error from Thomas Partey to bury a hard low shot behind Aaron Ramsadale.

The Gunners, however, responded swiftly. As Eddie Nketiah headed home an equaliser from Xhaka’s well floated cross in the 24th minute.

Both teams went into second half with one goal each. But the Gunners returned into the second half outplaying United and fighting their way to victory.

A few minutes into second half, Bukayo Saka put Arsenal ahead, firing a fierce shot into the bottom corner.

The Gunners lead was shortlived as Lisandro Martinez levelled for United in the 58th minute. But brilliant Arsenal will not settle for a draw.

The Gunners maintained firm dominance, pressing hard until Nketiah scored their winning goal in the 90th minute.

Sunday’s win positions Arsenal as a serious contender for this season’s title, having gained 50 points in 19 games.

With one pending game, Arsenal is leading City with 5 points, while United are fourth on the EPL log with 39 points behind Newcastle United.
