Association of community pharmacists Lagos chapter elects new chairman

The new chairman urged more teamwork and team-up to consolidate on the gains made of the association’s predecessors.

The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter, has elected Tolulope Ajayi as the new Chairman of the association. .

Mr Ajayi scored 195 votes to defeat his only opponent, John Okorie, who got 74 votes in the election, held during ACPN Annual General Meeting in Lagos on Wednesday.

Mr Ajayi, during his acceptance speech, appealed to members of the association to work as a team to further move ACPN forward.

He promised to leverage the success of the immediate past exco-led by Lawrence Ekhator, whom he described as a well-bred person.

He said, “We are all winners here today as members of ACPN Lagos chapter with one desire to further move this profession forward. We need to do more team work and team-up to consolidate on the gains made by our predecessors. The vision before us is big but achievable if we work together as one entity.’’

The newly elected chairman is a graduate of pharmacy from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State and also the founding CEO of Shekinah Specialties Limited.

He has over 22 years experience across pharmaceutical products marketing and pharmaceutical care services in the country.
