Atiku, Obi-led coalition’s unveiling of ADC relocated to Shehu Yar’Adua Centre

The formal unveiling of the African Democratic Congress adopted by the National Coalition of Political Opposition Movement, as the platform to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, has been relocated to the Shehu Musa Yaradua Centre, Abuja.
“The new venue for the coalition’s unveiling is confirmed. Location: Shehu Musa Yaradua Centre, Abuja. By 2pm,” the party confirmed on X, on Wednesday.
The relocation of the event billed for Wednesday, became imperative after the management of the initial venue, the Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments, Asokoro, Abuja, cancelled the booking for the event,
Apologising for the last-minute cancellation and the inconveniences it might have caused, the hotel cited “internal compliance matter,” as the reason for making the decision.
Organisers of the coalition led by former vice-president Atiku Abubakar; former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi; amongst others, adopted the ADC, following concerns that the Independent National Electoral Commission might not register the newly formed All Democratic Alliance in time to meet electoral deadlines.
