Atiku winning ADC 2027 presidential ticket deserving: Group

A group, Nigerian Youths For Atiku (NYFA) Worldwide, has described the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the ADC presidential candidate for the 2027 election as well-deserved.
The Director-General of NYFA Nigeria and Diaspora, Dare Dada, said this in a congratulatory statement issued on Thursday in Lagos.
Mr Dada said Mr Abubakar’s victory at the ADC presidential primary came at a critical period in Nigeria’s political and economic history.
He described Mr Atiku’s emergence as a landmark development capable of restoring hope, unity and economic stability in the country.
Mr Dada said the victory comes at a defining moment in Nigeria’s history, when millions of citizens are yearning for purposeful leadership, national unity, economic revival and renewed hope.
He said, “At a time when the nation is confronted with worsening economic hardship, insecurity, division and uncertainty, your emergence represents a beacon of hope for a more prosperous, stable and united Nigeria.
“As a former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with vast experience in governance, economic management, diplomacy and nation-building, we remain confident in your capacity.
“We are confident in your capacity to reposition our country and restore public confidence in leadership and democratic institutions.”
According to him, Mr Atiku presidency will provide practical and sustainable solutions to the socio-economic and political challenges currently facing the nation.
He noted that members of the group had remained unwavering in their support for the former vice president since the conclusion of the 2023 general elections.
“The continued support is based on the group’s conviction that Nigeria urgently requires competence, patriotism, experience and visionary leadership.”
Mr Dada also commended the leadership of the ADC for conducting a transparent, peaceful and credible presidential primary election.
Mr Atiku emerged as the ADC presidential candidate for the 2027 general election after defeating former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi and businessman, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, in the party’s presidential primary election.
