He said Boko Haram terrorists are now on the run and the security situation in the country has improved.
This move comes after weeks of mounting scrutiny and criticisms aimed at Mr Starmer and his cabinet for their indulgence in luxuries provided by affluent benefactors.
Mr Iswaran will report to Changi Prison, a facility that houses Singapore’s death row inmates on October 7.

Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the plaintiffs, stated that among the alleged victims are minors as young as nine years old.
“By every measure of development, from the critical areas to the smallest aspects, we are underperforming,” he said.
“What are you saying? We are hungry,” the protesters chanted as they walked through the streets of Abuja.
“Nigeria teeters on the brink of a one-party dictatorship,” Mr Atiku said.
However, he said his government decided to pursue reforms in both Nigeria’s economy and its security.
This followed the August 1-10 nationwide protests over economic hardships under President Bola Tinubu’s government.
