The commissioner noted that the assailants are responsible for the recurring killings and kidnappings within the LGA.
Bello Matawalle said efforts should be intensified to negotiate the armed bandits out of their criminal endeavours.
“Defenceless, unarmed, and peaceful locals have been abandoned to their fate.”
The onslaught of banditry and kidnapping activities has led to the deaths of many citizens across the state.
The protesters were heard chanting “we no go gree oo! we no go gree!! honourable minister we no go gree!! Mohammed Bello we no go gree.”
“Sadly, we lost inspector James Inalegwu, inspector Obutu Mathias with two other sergeants, John Taiwo and Ade Seriki.”
The unidentified commander is said to be in charge of arresting beggars and prostitutes in Kano metro area.
“Did you hear anything from us? If there’s anything, we will get back to you. Mr. Yerima, a brigadier-general, told Peoples Gazette.
“Four of our people…were attacked by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen,” a youth leader in the community said.
The operation was carried out on Saturday.
