Mr Olayinka explained that the plan by the Sanwo-Olu government was to pressure the group to back out from joining a case against the state government.
The commissioner urged the public to be careful and desist from consuming dirty water.
He described the situation as terrible, saying the roads have remained impassable.
“Over 239,000 people have been affected, with many lives lost and injuries reported,” the statement said.
