The police command in Edo has arrested a suspect in connection with a break-in and theft at a pharmaceutical and provision store along St. Saviour Road, Benin City.
He said the operation was conducted on Tuesday at about 9:00 a.m.
The governor said the deceased lived a good life and died in defending his subjects.
Police said investigations are also ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The ministry promised to present cost of evacuations to the public upon conclusion of the exercise.
