Barau FC hold resilient goalless draw against Enyimba in Aba

The match played inside the Enyimba FC stadium, Aba, the two clubs battled for the 90 minutes without breaking the deadlock.
Speaking after the match, Enyimba’s new head coach, Deji Ayeni, said he felt so bad to have got a draw at home, while other teams were winning their matches.
He said, “Actually, I believe the activities of football is all about win, draw or loss but the rationale behind getting the goals and result were the key and we are lacking it. Well, we have played the game and cannot reverse it so, we have to think on how to fine-tune, and work on the lapses discovered in the match. This team need a strong psychological work and we will work things out before our next match in the league, to improve our position on the league table.’’
Barau FC head coach, Eugene Agagbe said that the game was not an easy one as the Aba boys pressed his team hard, but failed to get the winning goal.
He said the club came with a strategy and the strategy work more than what the team got, which was to avoid defeat.
The coach said that the technical team made tactical changes after the visitors were reduced to 10 men, following a red card, adding that the best way to a defence is to attack.
He said, “I introduced a midfielder and attacker to help stop the host compressing us to our goal post, so we will go back, be focus and concentrate on the forthcoming games.’’
