Barcelona star Yamal out for rest of season after hamstring injury

Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal has been ruled out of action for the remainder of the current season after suffering an injury.
In a statement on Thursday, Barcelona revealed a hamstring injury was confirmed after the 18-year-old underwent a series of tests.
The club noted that the player would begin treatment immediately. Due to the injury, Yamal will miss Barcelona’s remaining six matches this season.
The Catalan side moved one step closer to the league title after a 1–0 win over Celta Vigo on Wednesday, extending their lead over Real Madrid to nine points.
However, the club expressed optimism that Yamal would be fit in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup starting later in June.
“The tests carried out have confirmed that first-team player Lamine Yamal has a hamstring injury in his left leg (biceps femoris muscle).
“The player will follow a conservative treatment plan. Lamine Yamal will miss the remainder of the season, and he is expected to be available for the World Cup,” the statement said.
Yamal is currently one of the best footballers in the world and expected to be a standout player for Spain at the World Cup.
