The match, played at the package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, saw Kano Pillars winning the three quarters while Nigeria Customs led in the last quarter.

Kano Pillars won the first quarter 20-18, 29-20 in the second quarter, and 21-13 in the third, but lost the fourth quarter 12-24 to take the final score to 82-64.

Kano Pillars coach, Ahmed Sani, praised his players for winning the third-place match.

“We thank God that we won the third-place match. My players fought well in their matches. We will go back home and prepare for the next edition of the league,” he disclosed after the match.

The eight teams from the Atlantic Conference and Savannah Conference participated in the league.

The Atlantic Conference teams include Rivers Hoppers, Kwara Falcons, Lagos Islanders, and Police Batons, while Kano Pillars, Gombe Bulls, Nigeria Customs, and Benue Braves made up the Savannah Conference.

The winner will represent Nigeria at the 2021 Basketball Africa League later in the year.
