Bauchi government moves to promote ease of doing business

Governor Bala Mohammed has assured stakeholders that his government is committed to implementing the Ease of Doing Business policy to boost the state’s economy.
Mr Mohammed said this at Tuesday’s inaugural ceremony of the Value Jet Airline’s daily operations in Bauchi at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport.
The governor lauded the airline’s resumption of daily flights from Abuja to Bauchi.
The commercial flight stopped landing at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport in July.
The governor stated, “As we celebrate the resumption of daily flights from Abuja to Bauchi by Value Jet Airline, it’s a milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance transportation. We also facilitate the movement of goods, services, and people and promote the growth of our great state.
“Transportation is the lifeblood of any thriving economy, and flights from Abuja to Bauchi play a pivotal role in connecting our state with the rest of the nation. It is a crucial artery for the exchange of commerce, ideas and culture.”
Mr Mohammed reiterated his administration’s commitment to promoting ease of doing business and ensuring the safety of passengers.
“The state is open to doing business with the world; a well-functioning airport is vital for harnessing the tourism and investment opportunities in Bauchi State and the northern part of Nigeria,” said the Bauchi governor.
The airline’s managing director, Omololu Majekodunmi, promised to provide effective and timely services to the routes. He said ValueJet was founded to make air travel affordable to everyone and had a vision to build a global airline, connecting people with places while using modern air travel.
“Offering end-to-end customer experience backed by up-to-date technology, the airline is made up of dedicated and passionate people who are committed to providing the best-in-class service to its customers,” Mr Majekodunmi explained.
Mr Majekodunmi said their maiden flight operations in Bauchi were to meet the demand of travellers by Nigerians and Bauchi residents.
“We will be prompt and timely in our services, and we will do our best to service the state,” he said.
ValueJet chairman Adekunle Soname said the airline is poised to ensure that Nigerians have access to affordable flights through competitive pricing.
“Our mission is to reinvent air travel with our unique value proposition of safety, comfort, convenience, experience, and high value for money. We are pleased to make air travel more affordable to everyone, underlined by our payoff line, wings for everyone,” said Mr Soname.
