The membership of the committee comprises representatives of the state government, Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress.

The state NLC Chairman, Dauda Shuaibu, stated this at a news conference on Friday in Bauchi.

He said the development was sequel to a meeting between the organised labour and members of the State Executive Council. .

Mr Shuaibu said the committee approved N70, 000 minimum wage for workers in the state.

He said, “This development marks a significant milestone in the efforts to enhance the living standard of workers.’’

According to Mr Shuaibu, the objective is to develop modalities for the payment of the national minimum wage to workers, adding that its membership derived from various sources of salary structure in the state.
