Big Brother Naija season 9 housemates, the Mbadiwe twins, emerged as the first heads of house on Monday after garnering votes from the housemates.

The season kicked off on Sunday evening with the first game, leading to Ndi nne, the dynamic duo of Chinwe and Nne, securing the coveted Power of Custodians. This victory exempts them from the first-week eviction and grants them the authority to make key decisions within the house.

However, this season’s head of house (HoH) was not chosen based on the usual competitive games. Instead, housemates cast their votes in the arena for who they believed should be this week’s HoH, excluding themselves.

After casting their votes, the housemates were instructed to proceed to the garden without communicating with any of their fellow housemates.

The votes resulted in a tie between two duos: the Radicals (Fairme David and Micky) and the Mbadiwe Twins (Ozee and Ocee).

The custodians Chinwe and Nne were called upon to break the tie. After careful consideration, they selected the Mbadiwe twins as the first heads of house for the season.

However, this season’s HOH role comes without immunity from eviction or the power to save or replace housemates.

The HOH will have the unique opportunity to suggest punishments for minor infractions.

Big Brother addressed the new HOH, emphasising the importance of maintaining order within the house.
