Benue governor congratulates Tinubu on emergence as APC presidential candidate

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections.
Mr Alia, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, on Sunday in Makurdi, described Mr Tinubu’s victory as well-deserved and a reflection of the confidence reposed in him by party members and stakeholders.
The governor also congratulated all candidates who emerged victorious during the party’s primaries conducted across the country, stating that their emergence demonstrated the trust and support they enjoy within the APC family.
The governor particularly commended the APC National Working Committee led by Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda for providing purposeful leadership and ensuring peaceful, transparent and successful primaries nationwide.
According to him, the smooth conduct of the exercise clearly shows the growing strength, internal democracy and unity within the ruling party.
He expressed confidence that the APC would continue to grow stronger and remain committed to providing purposeful leadership, good governance and sustainable development for Nigerians.
Mr Alia wished all the party’s candidates success, as preparations begin for the 2027 general elections. (NAN)
