Benue: Police command gets new PPRO

The police command in Benue has announced the appointment of DSP Orchia Aondongu as its new spokesman. This was announced in a statement on Thursday.
Mr Aondongu was commissioned as an assistant superintendent of police in December 2019.
He completed a five-year cadet training programme at the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil in Kano, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Mr Aondongu also served as a divisional crime officer, ‘C’ Division, Lafia; second-in-command, commissioner of police’s Crack Squad, State Headquarters, Lafia.
He was also a patrol and guard officer, Kadarko Division; divisional crime Officer, Obi Division; deputy police public relations officer, Benue command; and, until his appointment, divisional police officer, ‘C’ Division, North Bank, Makurdi.
He has attended several professional courses, including the Combat Operations Course of the Mobile Police Force at Ila Orangun, as well as media and public relations capacity-building programmes organised by development partners and other stakeholder organisations.
