Benzema, Salah, Mane, named among most influential Muslims

The Muslim 500 has named Egyptian Liverpool striker Mohammed Salah, former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, and Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema among the 2023 most influential Muslim sportspeople.
According to the report released on Sunday, the most successful British runner in history, Farah Mohamed, former French international Zinedine Zidane, and Sadio Mane of Bayern Munich, are among the 2023 most influential Muslim sportspeople.
Others on the list include former Manchester United star Paul Pogba who in 2019 converted to Islam, and one of Africa’s most decorated footballers Mohamed Aboutrika, Wu lei, the youngest football player to appear in the Chinese league at the age of 14 that went on to become the all-time top goalscorer for Shanghai SIPG with 169 goals.
In the art world, the most followed Tiktoker globally, Lame Khaby, was recognised as one of the most influential Muslim celebrities globally.
