Boko Haram carried out Ondo Catholic Church massacre: Interior Minister

Rauf Aregbesola, the interior minister, has blamed the deadly attack on a Catholic parish in Ondo on Islamic insurgents.
Mr Aregbesola, however, said no suspects had been arrested, although security forces are closing in on the masterminds.
Mr Aregbesola stated this on Thursday when he briefed State House reporters on the outcome of a national security meeting. Police Inspector-General Usman Alkali was also at the briefing.
The minister said intelligence showed the Islamic State, operating as Boko Haram offshoot in West Africa, was responsible for the violence.
No fewer than 40 people were killed on June 5 when armed killers suspected to be herdsmen invaded St Francis Catholic Church in Owo.
The attack drew nationwide uproar and global condemnation. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
