Bolanle Ninalowo Parts Ways with Wife

On Friday, actor Bolanle Ninalowo announced that he had parted ways with his wife, Bunmi, for the second time in their 16-year union. 

Ninalowo confirmed the separation in a lengthy post on his Instagram handle, citing “irreconcilable marriage dissolution.”

The couple, over the years, gained the admiration of many social media users for their display of affection. They married in 2007 and have two kids, Aliyah and Morakinyo.

Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them’ makes history

Burna Boy attained another milestone as his album “I Told Them” emerged as the UK’s number one album.

“I Told Them” was released on August 25, with features from Seyi Vibes, home-grown British artiste Dave, American rappers GZA, RZA, J. Cole, 21 Savage, and Jamaican singer Byron Messia.

Meanwhile, some music lovers criticised the album while others applauded it. 

Iyanya’s contemplation of suicide

Singer Iyanya opened up about his struggles with financial distress and suicidal thoughts in 2020 during an interview on the “Tea with Tay” podcast. 

He shared the harrowing experience, stating, “I almost committed suicide… Madness, man.”


The Headies 16th edition hosts announced

The prestigious Headies Awards for 2023 will be hosted by American TV presenter and actor Terrence J, alongside Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro. The event is scheduled to take place at the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 3.

Rema celebrated a remarkable achievement as his track “Calm Down” maintained a year-long presence on the U.S. Afrobeats Chart. Additionally, Davido made history as the first African artiste to perform at the PFA Awards.

Peter Okoye’s Account Scam Allegations

Peter Okoye, known as Mr P of singing duo PSquare, yet again alleged that fraudsters opened accounts in his name at Polaris Bank and Access Bank. 

He expressed his intent to take legal action regarding this matter.

The singer had also decried the situation last year, alleging that some Nigerian banks aided fraudsters to defraud people using his name.

Former Big Brother Naija housemates Alex and Ceec announced the resolution of their longstanding rivalry.

Bobrisky’s controversial reaction to gay suspects’ arrest

Popular Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky reacted to the arrest of individuals allegedly involved in a gay wedding.

“I strongly believe you guys can learn from those A-list. Firstly, there’s a law passed against you guys that you can’t marry yourselves in this country. Why the hell did you call yourselves together to organise a wedding?” the socialite wrote on Instagram. 

His response, however, sparked a backlash from gay rights activist Bisi Alimi, who criticised Bobrisky, stating, “Bobrisky is a fool and an idiot.”
