Kidnapped APC Chairman dead
Philip Shewko, the kidnapped Nasarawa State chairman of the APC has been found dead.
On Saturday, the state police announced the abduction of the APC chairman by gunmen, Peoples Gazette reported earlier.
Mr. Shekwo was abducted from his residence in Bukan-Sidi at about 11 pm on Saturday.
Nasarawa Police Commissioner, Bola Longe said the body of Mr. Shekwo was found dead not far from his house in Lafia, Nassarawa state.
The remains of Mr. Shekwo has been deposited at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist hospital.
Nigeria continues to witness an increase in the level of insecurity across the country.
On November 15, nine students of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria were kidnapped along Kaduna-Abuja Highway.
The Gazette on Sunday reported the release of the students after families paid one million as ransom per student.
