Buhari, Atiku eulogise Sound Sultan

President Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar have joined their voices to the gale of Nigerians mourning the passing of legendary musical artist, Sound Sultan.
Born Olanrewaju Fasasi, Sound Sultan passed away on Sunday morning after a prolonged battle with lymphoma.
He was 44.
A statement by the president’s spokesman, Femi Adesina said that Mr Buhari expressed his grief following the unfortunate demise of the artists.
“As a celebrated rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, he lived an exemplary life, achieved several milestones in his career and contributed greatly to the development of the Nigerian music and entertainment industry through his artistic genius, creativity and talent, which have inspired many young Nigerians in the industry” the statement read.
The president lavished Sound Sultan with praises for his outstanding personality and prayed that his family, friends and associates will find the strength to overcome their grief.
In a similar vein, Mr Atiku also paid his tribute to the departed artist via a Twitter post.
“In the short time Olanrewaju Fasasi, fondly known as Sound Sultan, spent on this side of the divide, he was a role model to many in the world of entertainment,” Mr Atiku wrote.
