Buhari swears in Muazu as Works and Housing minister
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday swore in newly confirmed ministerial nominee, Muazu Sambo, Minister of State for Works and Housing.
The event preceded the National Security Council meeting being held in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Mr Sambo, who hails from Taraba, replaces former Minister of Power, Mamman Sale, who was sacked from the federal cabinet in September.
The new minister will work with Babatunde Fashola who is the substantive Minister of Works and Housing.
Those in attendance of the security meeting include Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Ministers of Police Affairs, Justice, Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs.
Others are service chiefs, the National Security Adviser to the President, retired Major-General Babagana Monguno; Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba; Director-General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi as well as the Director-General, NIA, Abubakar Rufa’i.
