President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday visit Ogun State.

The Ogun State government disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

Mr Buhari, who was first billed to visit Ogun State in December 2021 but was postponed, would visit the state to commission some projects executed by the state governor, the statement said.

“The President will be welcomed at the Gateway City Gate Monument Park, Sagamu Interchange, at 10 a.m, where the first project will be commissioned by him.

“Apart from the Gateway City Gate, other projects expected to be inaugurated by President Buhari include Ijebu-Ode Mojoda-Epe expressway and two housing estates – the 527-Unit low and Medium Kobape Housing scheme Kobape and the Highbrow, 83 duplexes at Kings Court Estate at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta,” the statement reads in part.

In December 2021, Mr Buhari visited Lagos State to inaugurate locally made Seaward Defence Boat (SDB) 111 and attended the book launch of a former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bisi Akande.

Mr Buhari was bitterly criticised for visiting Lagos and not Sokoto State where bandits had killed close to 30 persons, burning them to cinders the day before.
