A building has reportedly collapsed in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

The collapse was announced on Monday by Lere Olayinka, the spokesman for Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“A building collapsed in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, about one hour ago. Rescue operation is currently going on with men of the FCT Fire Service there,” he said.

He stated that three ambulances had also been stationed there.

“The FCTA Development Control had sealed up the building earlier today and asked the occupants to leave,” he said.
