By-election: Ifeoluwa Ehindero emerges APC Reps candidate for Akoko Northwest

Ifeoluwa Ehindero has been elected as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the by-election in the Akoko Northwest/Akoko Northeast Federal Constituency.
Mr Ehindero will represent the constituency in the House of Representatives by-election on February 3.
The seat was declared vacant after Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo left the position to serve as the Minister of Interior under the government of President Bola Tinubu.
In the election conducted at Victory College, Ikare Akoko, Ondo State, on Saturday, amidst the heavy presence of security forces, Mr Ehindero received 105 votes while the remaining candidates had one vote each.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had earlier scheduled to hold by-elections across the country on February 3.
