Cairo University tops ranking of best medical universities in Africa

The Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, is the oldest medical school in the Middle East and one of the most prestigious institutions in the region.

The Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University has taken leading positions in one of the international rankings of the best universities in Egypt and Africa.

According to the report, the faculty topped national and continental rankings in more than ten medical fields, such as pharmacology, public health, dermatology, gastroenterology, anaesthesiology, surgery, ophthalmology, and nuclear medicine.

In a number of disciplines, the university was ranked among the top 100 to 150 in the world.

Specifically, the faculty ranks 78th in toxicology, 112th in urology, and 116th in plastic surgery.

More than 20 fields at the faculty have taken leading positions in Egypt and consistently high rankings in Africa.

The university emphasised that this achievement was made possible through the efforts of its teaching staff and the high quality of scientific research.
