Canada invites skilled workers from Nigeria, other countries to address labour shortages
The Canadian authorities on Thursday said the country is seeking skilled workers from Nigeria and other parts of the world to address its labour shortages.
The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) made the disclosure in a statement on Thursday.
“We are looking for skilled workers to help strengthen the Canadian economy and address labour shortages in key sectors,” IRCC said.
The IRCC stated that the Express Entry categories where it’s seeking experienced professionals to complement its workforce include medical doctors, researchers and senior managers with Canadian work experience, health care and social services professionals and tradespersons.
Others are educators, professionals in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) occupations, professionals in transport occupations, and workers with French-language proficiency.
