On March 1, a video that surfaced on social media showed Nigerian rapper CDQ, bleeding from a deep cut above his left ear. His white Inter Milan shirt was also covered in blood stains.

The rapper says he was stabbed by Burna Boy’s camp and left bloodied as a fight ensued at a nightclub. There are reports of other people sustaining injuries.

Unconfirmed sources said the fracas came as retaliation for the rapper calling out Burna Boy and his camp for disrespecting footballer Obafemi Martins.

CDQ in an audio obtained by Pulse.ng, confirmed Burna Boy’s involvement. Speaking in Yoruba, he says, “It was Burna and his squad, led by a guy named Richie who later got stabbed as well. I made sure that he bled. [My People] questioned Burna’s sanity to do this in Lagos; not Port Harcourt or London.”

In another audio, the rapper said that Burna took him to a hospital where he received two pints of blood.

CDQ had called out Grammy-nominee, Burna Boy on Monday, accusing him of disrespecting veteran footballer, Obafemi Martins.

The day before, Burna Boy and his crew were spotted at Quilox, a nightclub in Lagos. Martins and his crew were also spotted at the club that night.

A fight broke out at the club between businessman, Rahman Jago and another person, getting Martins’ crew involved, Pulse.ng reported.

Burna Boy’s camp denied the allegations, claiming that neither CDQ nor Burna Boy were at the same nightclub on the night of the incident.

The incident marks another episode of violence between artists involving the African Giant. In November 2017, the singer was accused of sending two men to attack fellow artist, Mr. 2Kay at Eko Hotels and Suites.

Obafemi Martins went on social media with comments about what happened.

“I have been seeing a lot of allegations online and I don’t appreciate our names being disgraced like this. We had a few misunderstandings a few nights ago but the issue don resolved already sha,” the footballer wrote on his Instagram.

“There be no fights at Bayrock. The club not even opened for clubbing. I just called my boys to talk about the issue there. I be di shareholder, don’t destroy my business na.”

“There is always fight and love amongst brothers. You guys are making too much hype, you should forget it and carry on. Eko oni baje.”
